The united kingdoms of america

It came to be that all the fairy tales you know actually took place in America. During the time of ever after, all the kingdoms, with all the princes and princesses, ruled the eastern half of america and there was great peace and prosperity. But during a great feast all the elders of the kingdoms were taken and their children were left to run the kingdoms. On the other side of the mississippi is where the elders were taken and it was a wild land with great magic. The children realized that to bring peace to the world they would have to go on a great journey that would end only when magic was driven from the world. It is these people who became the descendants of the native americans

This is a book with a series of stories, one a chapter. Each chapter starts out with the leader of a tribe picking a protege to mentor and what he tells him for advice.

Story I just came up with about the earth

Humans find strange artifacts that point to a much greater old technology on earth. Of course we assume it is ancient aliens but eventually we find out that is in our ancestors, that we are the decedents of these great people and somehow lost our way. We then realize that we once had the technology to travel faster than light and we have a plan to get there. This is a story about a group of interconnected planets that are all filled with humans. They all have great technological advances and communicate and travel easily faster than light. Earth is one of those planets and somehow gets disconnected. The disconnection causes a great tragedy and earth takes millions of years to recover.
